Petition Details

Review whether Plan 2 Student Loans have been mis-sold under false terms and false advertising, and forgive the debts accordingly.

Additional Information

It was falsely advertised that the repayment threshold would rise with inflation and that the debt would be a sensible, worthwhile investment. Instead, the repayment threshold has been repeatedly and unilaterally frozen. Extreme interest rates apply, more than typical mortgages, and beyond the understanding of an 18 year old. RPI is used when the UK gov typically uses CPI (lower). It was not accurately represented that the loan would become a 9% additional tax for our entire working lives.
