Ban smoking, vaping and nicotine pouches in the presence of under 16s
Nicotine pouches are being marketed in a way resembling sweets, which may lead to accidental consumption by children. These pouches might be discreet, but we believe they are no less harmful. The side effects of nicotine pouches can include headaches, dizziness and increased heart rate.
Some under 16s hold their breath to avoid inhaling the harmful fumes every time someone smokes or vapes near them. This constant fear of addiction and exposure to second-hand smoke is very real for many young people. Many are worried about growing up in an environment where these substances are used so freely. We are not only concerned by the immediate discomfort, but the long-term health implications and the potential for children to be encouraged to start smoking or vaping at a young age.
