Petition Action

Government to enhance powers of the Environment Agency against waste offenders

Petition Details

We want the Government to enhance the powers of the Environment Agency to allow for the quick shutdown of sites that violate regulations. Increased penalties and fines for non-compliance should also be considered as a deterrent.

Additional Information

We have been unable to enjoy the simple pleasure of sitting in our own garden. We cannot open our windows or doors without being assaulted by the toxic and overpowering odour emanating from a nearby recycling site. We believe this isn’t just a personal burden - it’s a crisis faced by communities across the country.
