Petition Action

Unfreeze loan repayment thresholds planned for 2027. It’s a “stealth tax rise”.

Petition Details

Unfreeze the thresholds - this is a retrospective step which was not known when the loans were taken out. It will force graduates to pay more income back than originally promised, which is a “breach of natural justice”. No other loan arrangements changes the rules after the contract has been agreed.
