Allow child minder grandparents to receive funding for related children

Petition Details

Recognise that Ofsted registered child minders are just as important and valued the same as nursery staff and should receive 15-30 hours funding for looking after related children.

Additional Information

I would like Government to address this issue as the demand for high-quality child care is increasing rapidly with the onset of funding now available for children as young as 9 months old.

If grandparents could claim the funding for their grandchildren without their own children having to go through the process of trying to find places in other settings, which may be few and far between, this could help lessen the stress and upset of returning to work after maternity leave.
