Review businesses' use of disability ID schemes

Petition Details

Stop venues only accepting one type of proof of disability. Requiring one specific type of ID isn’t always accessible or safe and stops people accessing places and services they need. We feel it is discrimination.

Additional Information

It’s harder for disabled people to start with to access places. To access a place or service with adequate support, some businesses require one type of proof that we have to pay for or have third parties read and decide what support we need or deserve on symbols and sharing much info and store our data. This can make disabled people feel forced and fearful. We think PIP or a blue badge should be disability proof too. Nimbus is a good option but shouldn’t be the only one when we already lack choice.
