Require regular reviews and inflation increases for child maintenance.
Require automatic reviews of all child maintenance cases and update legacy cases from the Child Support Act 1991. Payments should be recalculated using current income and adjusted for inflation so children receive fair financial support.
Some parents still receive child maintenance amounts set in 1991, such as £7 per week, which has never increased. This does not reflect the cost of living or raising a child today. Without mandatory reviews, payments remain outdated and unfair, placing financial pressure on the receiving parent and failing to support the child properly.
