Press reform, independent regulator, fining news/media spreading misinformation
We need a independent regulator to impose heavy fines on any news or media sources and politicians spreading lies, rhetoric and misinformation to the public, spreading hate and devision.
We need to restore some trust in journalism and politicians.
A unofficial poll shows overwhelming support.
Only the government can give the independent regulator authority to impose fines.
Only a vote for an independent regulator in parliament can restore some faith in politicians who increasingly use rhetoric and misinformation. Only those politicians who are disingenuous would vote against this, that would show the public exactly who those politicians really represent.
