£1 tax on top division football league tickets to fund community 3G pitches
Currently, many football games are getting postponed due to the weather affecting grass pitches. I call on the Government to impose a £1 tax on every top division football league ticket to fund community 3G pitches for grassroots teams in bad weather conditions via a “Let The Kids Play fund.”
I believe a £1 tax is very little and could be affordable for top league teams to contribute towards. This could help protect grassroots football and help develop our players further in the cold wet winter months, which other countries don’t have to face. Matches could still be able to go ahead and enable our next generation of top British players to continue to develop.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
