Stop Shropshire council from the 9% council tax rise

Petition Details

This should have gone to a local vote. Stop the above average inflation

Additional Information

Shropshire residents shouldn’t have to pay for the council being run so badly. How can the council be awarded a payrise of 2.50% in 24 and has voted for a 3.2% rise in 25,yet the council has no money. If they can vote for a payrise then we should be able to vote against the above average inflation rate of 9% council tax.The leader of the Liberal Democrat’s was interviewed on radio Shropshire today 17/2/26 where he said people he asked are happy to pay the inflation well I’m not & I wasn’t asked
