Petition Title: Fair Child Maintenance Payments Based on Current Income
We call on the government to ensure child maintenance service (cms)calculates payments using a parent's current income,not outdated tax years.
Cmd
Require up-to-date wage slips before setting payments.
Factor in necessary living costs after tax and National Insurance.
Provide clear statements showing how payments and arrears are calculated, including exact weeks and amounts owed.
This will make child maintenance fair, transparent, and manageable for all families.
