Allow parents to take their children out of school for trips in term time
Right now, parents are being crippled by the travel industry hiking prices during the school holidays, meaning fewer families can experience trips together and make precious memories. Change the law to allow up to 10 school days per school year without penalty.
The government is choosing to fine parents who take their children out of school in term time for trips, but for many, this is the only financially viable option, and for others, their careers only allow certain holiday periods per year that don't align with the school holidays. Create a fair balance so parents can take their children out of school in term time to spend quality time as a family and experience the world together.
