Petition Action

Introduce mandatory fines for parking in parent and child space without a child

Petition Details

Introduce a mandatory fine or implications for people who park in a parent and child bay without children. Just like how people get tickets and fines for parking in a Diabled bay without a blue badge

Additional Information

When people without a blue badge park in a disabled bay, they are given a ticket and a fine. However when someone parks in a parent and child bay without a child, nothing happens. As a parent its hard to get kids out the car as we do need that extra room to open the doors. There are very limited spaces as it is in public car parks so when they are being used by people not needing the space its very frustrating as its near on impossible to get a baby or toddler out of small spaces.
