Petition Action

Require companies to offer users opt out for online alcohol advertising & sales

Petition Details

I want the Government to require retailers, advertisers and digital platforms to provide a mandatory opt out function for all alcohol related advertising and product visibility online. It should also apply to online supermarkets and delivery apps, allowing users to hide alcohol products.

Additional Information

I want the Government and UK Parliament to act because platforms and retailers will not prioritise this voluntarily. Alcohol advertising is profit driven and algorithm led. Without legislation, there is no consistent protection. Law would create a universal opt out right, enforceable across companies, giving people in recovery real control over exposure online and protecting mental health.
