Clean Roadsides, Save Wildlife: A National Plan for a Cleaner UK

Petition Details

Our roadsides are drowning in litter, harming wildlife and scarring our countryside. While ocean waste gets attention, our local environments are being forgotten. Without urgent government action, we risk losing our natural spaces entirely. We must protect our land before it’s too late.

Additional Information

Roadside waste is escalating across the UK with millions of pieces of litter dropped every week. This is destroying wildlife and leaving our countryside looking abandoned. Most litter won’t decompose for decades. To protect our local ecology, we need a national response: clear existing waste, run long‑term anti‑litter campaigns, and teach environmental responsibility in schools. We owe it to future generations to protect the land and wildlife we are losing today.
