Review recent Right to Buy changes and consider reversing them
We ask the Government to formally review recent changes to the Right to Buy scheme and consider reversing these where these amendments can be shown to have negatively affected long-term social housing tenants.
Recent changes have reduced discounts when buying a home under the right to buy scheme AND extended qualifying periods. In our view, many tenants planned long-term housing stability based on previous rules. We believe Parliament should assess whether these changes have had unintended consequences and consider reversing these changes if they show to disproportionately affect long-term social housing tenants.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
