Make Comprehensive Gynaecology Education Mandatory in Secondary Schools
Require all secondary schools in England to include comprehensive gynaecology and women’s health education within the statutory RSHE curriculum.
Current RSHE focuses mainly on reproduction, contraception & sexually transmitted infections. It does not adequately cover gynaecological conditions, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, hormonal health beyond contraception, or how to recognise abnormal symptoms & seek medical help. Conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids & PCOS affect a significant proportion of women & girls. Many report years of delayed diagnosis, often because they did not realise their symptoms were not normal.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
