Legalise and regulate cannabis for adult use, similar to alcohol
We call on the Government to legalise cannabis for adult use. Like alcohol, it should be sold via licensed retailers with strict age-ID checks and quality controls. This would dismantle illegal markets, generate significant tax revenue for the NHS, and ensure consumer safety through regulation.
Cannabis has been found in multiple studies to be less harmful than alcohol (something which is an accepted part of British culture)
Regulation would dismantle the cannabis illegal market, where people are enslaved, exploited, and don't check ID.
Legalisation frees police time for worse crimes, whilst regulation brings in tax money that be used to save our NHS, or fix more roads.
This would also create thousands of jobs, and ensure the UK doesn't fall behind other countries who choose regulation
