Ratify ILO Convention 169 for the United Kingdom.
Ratify ILO Convention 169 to strengthen global protections for the indigenous and tribal people of the United Kingdom.
The UK has long endorsed international human rights standards, including the UN Declaration UNDRIP, 2007. However, it remains one of the few major economies yet to ratify ILO Convention 169, the only legally binding international treaty dedicated exclusively to the rights of indigenous and tribal peoples.
This would recognise the land, resource, and cultural rights of the British people and protection against discrimination in employment, education, health, and development.
