Petition Action

Remove exemptions so full-stun non-recoverable animal slaughter is mandatory

Petition Details

Welfare of Animals at the Time of Killing Regulations 2015 whereby animals can be killed with partial recoverable stun or no stun at all. RSPCA welfare standards call for full non-recoverable stun - this should be mandatory for all UK and Northern Ireland abbatoirs

Additional Information

Animal welfare should be a priority from birth to death. Full non-recoverable stun is the most humane method of slaughter.
