Promote positive/ nuanced football discussion and get Gary Neville off Sky Sport
Force Sky Sports and other TV broadcasters to encourage nuanced discussions and elevate the quality of sport punditry. Consider forcing broadcasters to introduce standards for the quality of pundit they allow on air, thus promoting intellectual conversation.
Rage and controversy tactics in football discussion have become widespread as a result of social media. Gary Neville is symptomatic of this with many people online complaining his punditry is of poor quality, lacks nuance and adds little value to footballing discourse. He seems to prioritize narrative leading agendas which focus on controversy rather than the actual football. Paying customers deserve quality analysis. Football fans are tired of tired of his troglodyte analysis.
