Petition Action

Hold a referendum regarding UK withdrawal from the 1951 Refugee Convention

Petition Details

To combat false and unwarranted bogus asylum applications which we believe make up a significant proportion of all current applications, give the British public a referendum on withdrawal from this treaty which we think is outdated and flawed & only benefits nations other than the British public.

Additional Information

We believe bogus asylum applications are rife and as a nation we continue to allow too many people to abuse this route into our country costing billions of pounds that could be used in other ways to benefit the British electorate. I believe holding a referendum would also help to restore diminished national pride.
