Close CMS loopholes, assess income fairly, and secure £300 per child. Thank you
We ask the UK Government to reform the Child Maintenance Service to close loopholes, ensure self-employed parents and company directors are fairly assessed, improve investigations, reduce delays, and introduce a £300 minimum support per child so children are not left in financial hardship.
We ask the UK Government to reform the Child Maintenance Service to close loopholes that allow some self-employed parents and company directors to report very low income while benefiting from business profits. This leaves children with minimal support. The Government should ensure fair assessments of full financial resources, improve investigation powers, reduce delays, and introduce a £300 minimum support per child.
