Assist in changes to the parking at the Maelor Hospital in Wrexham, NE Wales.
I would like this longstanding issue to be discussed by the Welsh Government and to prioritise changes to prevent missed appointments, stress and upset to patients and visitors to the hospital. It is a longstaning problem with no committments by the Trust to make improvements.
I have personally been in the situation where I have arrived over an hour early for an appointment before 9.00am and the whole parking areas, which is very large, has been totally full. After spending valuable time driving around I have then had to drive away and park in the town and pay to park my car and walk 20 to 30 minutes to try and get to my appointment on time. I have arthritis in my hips and knees and also a heart condition, and this parking issue causes me stress and pain.
