Hold public inquiry on handling of trafficking allegations in the UK (2000–2020)
We want the Government to establish an independent public inquiry into how UK authorities handled allegations of trafficking and sexual exploitation linked to activity in the UK between 2000 and 2020.
Serious allegations of trafficking and sexual exploitation connected to activity in the UK have been reported over many years. Public confidence depends on knowing whether UK institutions responded appropriately. An independent public inquiry would examine how allegations were handled, whether evidence was properly assessed and shared, and whether reforms are needed to improve accountability and protect victims. This should cover trakliking inside and into the U.K.
