Petition Action

Improve Safety at WestHill and EastHill, Hastings -to deter Accidents & Suicides

Petition Details

We are calling on Hastings Borough Council to take urgent action to improve safety at WestHill and EastHill by installing protective fencing, cliff edge warning signs, and mental health support signage.
We need protective measures put in place to prevent further deaths.

Additional Information

We respectfully ask the council to:
Install protective fencing in high-risk cliff edge areas.
Place clear and visible warning signs highlighting the danger of the cliff edge and
Add mental health support signage with contact numbers in prominent locations, for those feeling suicidal, this could help deter people that are going through a crisis.
These simple measures could help prevent accidents, deter suicide attempts, and save lives.
