Petition Action

Regulate companies supplying heating oil and LPG

Petition Details

We are concerned that liquefied petroleum gas suppliers of heating oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) are profiteering during geo-political crisis, and when any potential disruption to supply is reported by the media.

Additional Information

As an example, the price of heating oil doubled in the first couple of weeks of March for oil which had already reached the UK side of the supply lines before the start of the war with Iran.

Currently suppliers are operating outside of any government regulation.
The industry should be regulated, and when necessary price capped by the government.
