Stop payments to failed asylum seekers to leave the UK
Cancel the proposed scheme that offers financial payments to failed asylum seekers to encourage them to leave the United Kingdom.
Reports suggest that the government is considering offering payments of up to £40,000 per family to failed asylum seekers who agree to leave the UK voluntarily. Many people believe this policy is unfair and sends the wrong message about immigration enforcement.
Public money should be used responsibly, and immigration rules should be applied consistently. Instead of offering large payments, the government should focus on improving border control, speeding up asylum decisions, and enforcing existing immigration laws.
We ask the government to cancel this scheme and review how taxpayer money is used in immigration policy.
