Introduce Staggered School Holidays Across the UK
We call on the UK Government to implement a system of staggered school holidays nationwide. This would mean distributing the existing holiday weeks into shorter, evenly spaced breaks throughout the year, rather than having all schools take holidays at the same time.
Reasons for the Change:
Staggering holidays reduces travel and tourism congestion, making vacations more affordable and less crowded. It improves student and teacher well-being by providing regular breaks, boosts local economies by spreading out holiday spending, offers families more flexibility in planning vacations, and balances school attendance for better educational outcomes.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It is the decision of each Local Authority to decide when there is a school holiday in their area. This is not something which the UK Government or Parliament is responsible for.
