Unrestricted toilet access in schools for children.
We urge the Government to make it law that all schoolchildren have unrestricted access to toilets during the school day, ensuring their health, dignity, and wellbeing, and preventing schools from enforcing blanket bans or restrictive policies that harm pupils physically or emotionally.
Children should never be forced to wait to use the toilet at school. Restrictive policies can cause urinary infections, bladder problems, constipation, anxiety, and embarrassment. Every child has different needs, including medical or developmental conditions. We want the Government to make it law that schools provide safe, hygienic, and unrestricted toilet access, protecting children’s health, dignity, and wellbeing during the school day.
