Petition Action

The UK should resolve to support a diplomatic solution to Middle East conflict.

Petition Details

The UK government should not allow the use of our armed forces and British bases to support the continuation of wars in the Middle East. Instead they should steadfastly pursue and engage in all diplomatic channels open to them, to end the conflict and reach a peaceful solution.

Additional Information

The UK government should use the relationship with our allies to bring about a peaceful solution. By allowing UK resources to be used, we are prolonging the conflict and creating further barriers to stability in the region. We also risk placing military personnel and other citizens in danger, making them targets for direct attacks or acts of terrorism.
