Petition Action

Hold a referendum on the use of military force or assets for overseas actions

Petition Details

We want the Government to hold a public referendum on the use of military force overseas and the use of UK military assets by foreign powers for their own affairs (unless not using military force or allowing asset use would directly contravene a treaty with such as NATO, for example).

Additional Information

We live in a democratic state and we feel the people should have some say in our military affairs - this would avoid our nation becoming involved in unnecessary and/or unpopular conflict. We believe our military should fight on behalf of the British people - not for powerful foreign states.
