Establish a national Listen To Children Day
Establish a National Listen to Children Day to encourage government, schools, & policymakers – adults, basically - to stop talking and listen to children. We want to ensure that children’s voices inform policy, research and services that affect them. Listening must become practice, not rhetoric.
Adults frequently make decisions about children’s mental health — in schools, clinics, policy & research labs —rarely asking children what works for them. A Listen to Children Day would flip that dynamic creating space for adults to simply to stop, ask, and listen. Children understand their struggles, fears and resilience in ways adults often overlook. Better solutions start with better listening — because the most powerful insights into children’s wellbeing often come from children themselves.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament, it would be something which schools and institutions would have to decide to do.
