Petition: Stop Large-Scale Geoengineering and Prioritize Real Climate Solutions
Introduce a legally binding moratorium on large-scale geoengineering, establish strict global oversight, fund renewable energy and emissions cuts, and prioritise proven climate solutions over risky, untested interventions that could harm ecosystems and communities.
Geoengineering poses serious risks to climate stability, ecosystems, and global equality. Its impacts are unpredictable and could disrupt weather patterns or harm vulnerable populations. It also fails to address the root cause—emissions—and may delay real climate action. Government leadership is needed to prevent unsafe deployment and prioritise proven, fair, and sustainable solutions.
