Increase the local housing allowance for private rented sector

Petition Details

Increase the local housing allowance to make it easier for single parents in need of housing find somewhere suitable

Additional Information

I am currently private renting. I am a single mum of 2 children. My housing allowance per month is £900. But all properties are way above this meaning people like me cannot afford to put a roof over our heads without getting into so much debt. Housing allowance should meet local housing costs. Housing prices have increased massively but yet the allowance is still around £500 under
