Petition Action

Ban social media for under 16s to protect the young people from the many harms.

Petition Details

As young people who have been adversely affected by social media, we believe the government should ban social media (TikTok, Instagram, Roblox, etc.) for all young people, to strengthen the protection of young people in our country.

Additional Information

We believe this will increase focus for young people in schools preventing harmful addictions so they have more time to study.
To protect the mental health of children and teens, and prevent acts of suicide.
To prevent the digital footprints of children being ruined before they're able to fully understand the effect of their online behaviour.
To prevent radicalisation and reduce in life crime rates and anti social behaviour.
To stop the rapid decrease in attention spans in children.
