Make Parent and Child Parking Spaces Permit-Only and Enforceable by Law
I would like the government to make it a legal requirement for only people with children to be able to park in parent and child spaces and for it to be enforceable.
In the UK, when an expectant mother receives her dating scan, they receive a Mat b1 entitlement form to receive certain extended healthcare benefits. Along with this form, I’d wish for the expectant mother to receive a ‘Parking Permit’ - which allows the parent to park in a parent and child parking bay for 7 years. If anyone else was to park in the designated spots without a display badge, they would receive a parking fine if it was noted by a parking warden.
