Regulate Parent And Child Parking Spaces To Be Badge/Controlled Across the UK
Introduce legislation requiring all public car parks to provide parent and child parking spaces and enforce their use through a permit or badge system similar to blue badge disable parking.
Parent and child parking spaces are frequently misused, making it difficult for parents with babies and young children to safely access shops and services. These spaces are wider to allow safe loading and unloading of children, prams and car seats. Also for pregnant women who require more space to enter and exit vehicles more safely. There is currently no legal requirement to provide these spaces nor enforceable system to prevent misuse.
