Petition Action

Use new questions on local election ballot papers to trigger a general election

Petition Details

Questions should be added to local election ballot papers in England about how the current government in charge of the country is doing Eg. Q1. Is the current Government following their manifesto they were elected on (A) YES or NO. Q2. Do you have confidence in the current government (A) YES or NO

Additional Information

We cannot call for a vote of no confidence in the government and get an early general election called. When a party goes against the mandate they were elected on and do not represent the public that voted them in, then adding these questions to a local election ballet paper would give an idea of how the people of this country feel about the current government. If an answer to the questions was a 65% in the NO direction then a general election should be called.
