Petition Action

VAT reclaim on materials extended to refurbishment / grade listed buildings.

Petition Details

Currently vat can only be reclaimed on new build materials, the gov should include heritage and grade listed buildings, this would help restore and maintain our historic buildings.

Additional Information

We need to maintain and restore our historic and grade listed buildings in the UK.
The government should extend the vat reclaim on materials currently this scheme is only available on new builds.
The current scheme requires a review.
I propose that materials used on refurbishment projects, for historic, heritage projects and grade listed
Buildings should allow VAT to be recovered.
This would help maintain our UK heritage.
