Abolish day light savings
Have the UK clocks constantly reflect the time of the UK winter time. As a result, day light savings will no longer be needed.
The main reason for daylight saving in the winter is to increase safety by ensuring the roads are lit when people commute in the morning so keeping the clocks at winter times ensures this. While the goal for summer daylight saving is to conserve energy, studies show it has a negligible impact of energy conservation. We should therefore abolish daylight savings as it severely impacts the schedules and lives of people for the week after it occurs, causing more harm than good.
