Restrict Second Home Ownership in Non-English-Speaking UK Communities
We ask the UK Government to introduce measures to limit second home ownership in communities where minority languages such as Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, or Cornish are widely spoken.
High levels of second home ownership are reducing the availability of affordable housing for local residents and contributing to the decline of minority-language-speaking communities. Without intervention, these areas risk losing their cultural and linguistic heritage. The Government should act to protect both housing access and cultural sustainability.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Your petition is about something that the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament is responsible for in Scotland, and the Welsh Government and Senedd Cymru in Wales. That means that the UK Government and Parliament can't look into it.
The Scottish Parliament has its own Public Petitions Committee. If you'd like to send your petition to the Scottish Parliament as far as it relates to Scotland, you can find out more here: petitions.parliament.scot/
