Petition Action

Reduce fuel duty in response to rising oil prices and global instability

Petition Details

We call on the UK Government to reduce fuel duty to protect households and businesses from rapidly rising fuel costs caused by global instability in oil markets

Additional Information

Global instability involving Iran has disrupted oil supplies and increased prices, leading to higher petrol and diesel costs in the UK. This is putting pressure on households, commuters, rural communities and small businesses that rely on vehicles daily. At a time when global events are driving up living costs, the Government should act to ease the burden on citizens. Reducing fuel duty would provide immediate relief, support economic activity, and help offset rising costs beyond public control.
