Restrict social media access is psychiatric hospitals.
Restrictions on social media access whilst inpatient on mental health wards both NHS and private health services.
patients, families and staff included have noticed a significant increase off social media being used as a platform to gain attention whilst inpatient in hospital settings. It is having a negative inpact on the services due to a high volume of revolving door patients who are only interested in the increase in followers on social media. rather than focusing there time within hospital setting to improve there mental wellbeing. restricting access will reduce admissions.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about what rules are in place relating to access to social media in particular clinical settings are a matter for medical professionals and the service providers not the UK Government or Parliament.
