Government to issue public solar and wind power forecasts

Petition Details

The Government should issue 3-day solar & wind power forecasts to help ease the energy crisis. We believe these will help the public maximize their domestic power instead of wasting it. By timing usage with these peaks, they can reduce the energy crisis's impact & lower national costs for everyone.

Additional Information

We believe maximizing our homegrown energy infrastructure that already exists is the fastest way to ease the energy crisis. Currently, the public has no clear way to know when our wind and solar are at their peak and so is frequently wasting energy. A public 3-day forecast would we believe allow us to align our demand when generation is highest, empower households to lower their costs, reduce reliance on expensive imports, and ensure that we make the most of every energy unit available.
