Petition Action

Introduce a higher, sector-specific Minimum Wage for PCAs and veterinary nurses

Petition Details

Require veterinary employers to increase wages to £14 per hour for patient care assistants and £15.50 for vet nurses/vet techs. We feel the industry is extremely taxing on mental and physical health and has extremely high standards set in place.

Additional Information

This should not be considered a minimum wage job especially in the medical field. We are concerned that most of these individuals live pay cheque to pay cheque and are barely be able to make rent, while enduring harsh work environments under an immense amount of stress and pressure.
