Petition Action

Cut Fuel Duty by 20p per Litre to Reduce the Cost of Living.

Petition Details

We call on the UK Government to cut fuel duty by 20p per litre to ease the cost of living. Lower fuel prices would reduce everyday costs, support workers who rely on driving, and help bring down prices across the wider economy while still earning estimated £20bn in tax revenue.

Additional Information

Fuel costs impact the price of almost everything in the UK, from food and deliveries to public transport. High fuel duty increases costs for businesses and is passed on to consumers, worsening the cost of living. A 20p reduction could ease pressure across the economy, lower prices, and support growth, while the government could still receive over £20bn annually in fuel tax revenue.
