Reduce fuel tax to 20p per litre and VAT to 10% for petrol, diesel & heating oil
I would like the government to seriously consider reducing the fuel tax to 20pence per litre and vat to 10% for petrol, diesel and heating oil.
As petrol and especially diesel has risen to by at least 50p a litre and it affects everyone especially people who live in rural areas where public transport is not reliable for people get work etc. As everything is increasing in cost during the conflict in the Gulf. It is having a major effect on people's lives and the economy with the rate of inflation and mortgage rates increasing. It could stabilise the economy and it could help the vast amount of the population who are on lower incomes.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
