Issue national guidelines on exam preparation information
Introduce guidelines on publishing information relating to exam questions to make sure students are not misled by incorrect information. Such guidelines should include restrictions on publishing what are claimed to be "predicted papers" & make the publisher responsible for inaccurate advice provided
During exam season, many students are exposed to online content claiming to predict exam questions. Such information can for example encourage students to omit key topics from their revision or promise results through “hacks”. Much of this is information can be misleading, and creates unnecessary stress or false confidence for students who can waste valuable revision time and money on unreliable materials. We think clear guidelines could protect students, support fair preparation, and ensure accountability across online education platforms.
