Stop funding the royal family with tax payers money.
During a severe cost of living crisis, it is increasingly unjustifiable for the government to fund the royal family with taxpayers’ money. Millions of people are struggling to afford essentials like food, heating, and housing, while public services face cuts and underfunding.
In such circumstances, government spending should prioritise the immediate needs of citizens, not the maintenance of inherited privilege. Continuing to support the royal family financially risks sending a message that tradition matters more than people’s wellbeing. Redirecting these funds toward social support, healthcare, and economic relief would better reflect fairness, accountability, and the urgent priorities of a nation under strain.
